NEW Power Tools Announced from Milwaukee, Harbor Freight, Festool, RYOBI and more!

The Tool Show is back with another round of exciting tool announcements. This week’s lineup is loaded with innovation, from precision woodworking saws to homeowner-friendly drain solutions, next-gen pliers, quiet inverter generators, and advanced fusion technology for natural gas lines. Whether you’re a pro tradesperson, a weekend DIYer, or simply a fan of the latest gear, here’s your complete breakdown.

Festool HKC 5K Cordless Portable Circular Saw

Festool is raising the bar for on-site precision cutting with the HKC 5K, a cordless portable circular saw designed to integrate seamlessly with FSK guide rails. By pairing the saw with these rails, you create a mobile miter setup capable of producing accurate, repeatable crosscuts without the bulk of a full miter saw.
Additionally, the EC-TEC brushless motor delivers 5,200 RPM for smooth cuts, and the integrated kickback stop increases safety during operation. The HKC 5K works with 18V batteries, but Festool recommends the 8Ah pack for maximum runtime. Since it’s compatible with 250, 420, and 670 rails, carpenters can achieve both straight and angled cuts quickly. While it’s launching in Europe in September 2025, U.S. availability is still to be announced.

RYOBI 18V ONE+ 25 ft. Drain Auger

RYOBI’s latest addition to the ONE+ family is a compact, efficient drain auger ideal for household clogs. Designed for sinks, tubs, and showers with up to 2″ pipes, this tool uses a reinforced 25 ft., 1/4” cable to minimize kinking.
Furthermore, users can switch between manual operation for precise control or auto-feed and auto-retract for faster results. A cable lock helps break through stubborn blockages, while the enclosed drum keeps the mess contained. With an onboard LED light and RYOBI LINK wall storage compatibility, it’s both practical and easy to store. Expect to see it at Home Depot for $89.

Harbor Freight Predator 2500 Inverter Generator

Harbor Freight’s Predator 2500 inverter generator offers a quieter, more powerful option compared to the Predator 2000. Delivering 2,500 starting watts and 2,000 running watts, it maintains a low 58 dB noise level at 25% load.
In addition, it weighs just 46 lbs, making it portable for jobsites, camping trips, or emergency home power. Notable upgrades include USB-C PD 30W output, CO-secure shutdown, and parallel capability. Although the run time drops slightly to 10.2 hours at 25% load, the additional power and lighter weight make it a strong contender at $629.

KNIPEX Cobra ES Extra Slim Pliers

KNIPEX has refined its Cobra Extra Slim pliers, delivering improved jaw design with front-facing serrations and cross grooves for enhanced grip. The updated 10” model now opens to 1.5”, while the all-new 7.25” version handles up to 1.25” materials yet remains compact for everyday carry.
Moreover, both sizes use KNIPEX’s push-button adjustment system, offering 18 to 25 locking positions for fast, precise sizing. These upgrades make them even more versatile for automotive technicians, maintenance crews, and anyone needing a slim, high-grip plier.

Milwaukee MX FUEL Electrofusion Processor
(MXF545-XC)

Milwaukee expands its MX FUEL platform with a cordless electrofusion processor designed for PE pipe work in natural gas applications. This model is up to 40% lighter than AC-powered units, allowing faster one-hand transport from truck to trench.
Equipped with an MX FUEL Forge 80 battery, it delivers an output range of 8–48V and includes a wireless barcode scanner, GPS, and One-Key data logging for streamlined recordkeeping. Additionally, the 15 ft replaceable leads and multiple fusion tips make it adaptable for different jobsite needs. The full kit, priced at $7,500, includes the processor, battery, charger, leads, scanner, and tips.

Milwaukee Shockwave 3/8” Threaded Rod Nut Runner
(48-32-2391)

Speed is the selling point for Milwaukee’s Shockwave threaded rod nut runner, which can be up to nine times faster than hand threading. Thanks to its split socket design, installers can side-load onto rods and adjust hardware without removing the nut runner.
Also, it’s rated to lift up to 100 lbs and works with standard 3/8” hex nuts. Currently available for pre-order from Ohio Power Tool at $49.97, it’s a smart time-saver for electrical and mechanical installs.
