14 NEW Tools & Tech from the 2026 AHR Tool Expo!

The 2026 AHR Expo filled the Las Vegas Convention Center with new HVAC tools, smart technology, cordless equipment, and home comfort solutions.

The Tool Show team explored the show floor and selected 14 standout products. The list includes new equipment from Milwaukee, Klein Tools, DEWALT, KNIPEX, Veto Pro Pac, WAGO, MRCOOL, Resideo, and other leading manufacturers.

Some products target HVAC technicians directly. Others can help electricians, plumbers, mechanical contractors, maintenance teams, and homeowners.

From cordless pipe-threading equipment to intelligent airflow controls, these products show where the HVAC and construction industries may go next. The Tool Show team chose 14 of the most interesting products from the event.

Milwaukee M18 Brushless Pipe Threading Oiler

Milwaukee introduced a new M18 Brushless Pipe Threading Oiler (3874-20) that creates a cleaner and more portable threading setup.

A durable steel frame lets the oiler hook directly onto a compatible pipe stand. This setup brings the oil basin closer to the pipe and raises it off the ground.

The design helps reduce trip, spill, and slip hazards. Integrated chip guards also provide about 127 degrees of containment around the pipe.

Users can move the oil hose and direct it toward the threading application. An adjustable control changes the oil flow for different pipe sizes.

Milwaukee also added three filtration layers. The filtration system helps keep the oil clean and extends the time between cleanouts.

A full-perimeter O-ring seals the basin. Milwaukee also positioned the fill point to help prevent spills. During the demonstration, the team rotated the basin up to 90 degrees without dumping the oil.

After completing a thread, the user can place the threader over the basin. This keeps the equipment and remaining oil contained during storage.

Milwaukee says the oiler can run for days on an M18 XC5.0 battery (48-11-1850R).

Klein Tools ET90 Combustible Gas Detector

Klein Tools displayed several new products at AHR, including the ET90 Combustible Gas Detector (KLN-ET190).

This pen-style tester detects gases such as propane, methane, and butane. It offers high- and low-sensitivity modes for different inspection conditions.

The ET90 also includes a pocket clip and built-in work light. Those features make it easier to inspect furnaces, appliances, gas lines, and dark mechanical spaces.

Field Controls EvenAir 2 System

Uneven temperatures create a common problem in many homes. One room may feel too warm while another becomes too cold.

The Field Controls EvenAir 2 System addresses that problem by redirecting conditioned air to the rooms that need it.

The system works with standard 24-volt thermostats. It uses temperature sensors in different areas of the home and adjusts duct dampers automatically.

Installers can configure the system with two or three sensor areas. Each area can support several dampers.

The dampers never block airflow completely. They leave a small opening so air can continue moving through each zone.

An internal algorithm compares the temperatures between rooms. It then opens or closes the dampers as conditions change.

For example, the system can send more cool air into a warm bedroom. At the same time, it can reduce airflow to rooms that already feel comfortable.

Contractors can also add EvenAir 2 to many existing homes. They only need access to the ductwork to install the required dampers.

Field Controls offers round and rectangular damper options for several duct sizes. The company expected to launch the system during the first quarter of 2026.

Resideo Elite Pro Thermostats

Resideo introduced its new Elite Pro thermostat lineup at the AHR Expo.

The premium collection includes the S900, S1000, S1100, and S1200. These models will replace several existing Resideo products, including the T10, VisionPRO, and Prestige thermostats.

Features vary by model. Available options include Wi-Fi, RedLINK compatibility, humidity control, ventilation control, and indoor air quality monitoring.

The S1100 includes a five-inch display. Homeowners can view humidity, carbon dioxide, and volatile organic compound levels on the screen.

The thermostat can also react to poor indoor air quality. It can activate compatible ventilation equipment or open a fresh-air damper.

The S1200 adds video doorbell integration. Homeowners can see and speak with visitors through the thermostat or a connected mobile app.

Most of the Elite Pro models were available during the show. Resideo planned to release the S900 later.

DEWALT ToughWire Cable Hanger System

The DEWALT ToughWire Cable Hanger System gives contractors another way to suspend ductwork, piping, cable trays, and mechanical equipment.

The system uses galvanized aircraft cable with DEWALT anchors, fasteners, attachments, and locking devices.

ToughWire offers quick adjustment. Installers can raise or lower suspended equipment by moving the wire through the lock.

This feature can help contractors align ductwork, position copper racks, and work around jobsite obstructions. It may also save time during service work.

DEWALT offers three wire diameters: DW1, DW2, and DW3. Contractors can choose from several pre-cut lengths or buy bulk wire spools.

Users can adjust the locking devices without another tool. The controls also remain easy to use while wearing work gloves.

For HVAC, plumbing, electrical, and mechanical work, ToughWire provides a flexible alternative to threaded rod and metal straps.

KNIPEX 13 72 A Screw Cutter

Cutting a screw or bolt often damages the threads. That damage can make it difficult to reinstall a nut.

The Knipex 8″ Forged Wire Strippers w/ Comfort Grip (KNI-13 72 8 SBA) solves that problem with a simple process.

The user threads the screw into the correct opening and squeezes the handles. The tool cuts the screw to the desired length.

When the user removes the screw, the threaded opening helps clean and restore the cut threads. The nut can then go back onto the screw with less filing or repair work.

This small feature can save time for electricians, HVAC technicians, installers, and maintenance professionals.

CAT Industrial Fans

CAT displayed several industrial and commercial fans at the 2026 AHR Expo.

One large portable model moved a strong amount of air while producing very little noise. The Tool Show team could hold a normal conversation beside it.

A patterned grille creates a concentrated vortex of air. CAT says the airflow can reach about 100 feet.

The company also displayed large ceiling fans in several sizes. Some models use carbon-fiber blades.

The lightweight blades reduce strain on the motor and may improve long-term performance.

These fans could work well in shops, warehouses, garages, manufacturing facilities, and large commercial buildings.

Rosenberg Backward-Curved EC Fan

Rosenberg displayed a backward-curved EC fan for large commercial and industrial applications.

The demonstration model used a 7.5-kilowatt motor, which equals about 10 horsepower. The smart motor includes its own drive.

Users can connect the fan to a three-phase power supply between 208 and 480 volts. They can then adjust the operating speed to fit the application.

The fan also connects to building-management and automation systems. It supports Modbus, BACnet gateways, and traditional analog controls.

Rosenberg designed the backward-curved blades to move air efficiently and quietly. Under high-volume and low-pressure conditions, the model can move about 16,000 cubic feet of air per minute.

This type of fan can support large air-handling systems that require precise control and high airflow.

REMS Cento 22V Pipe Cutter

The REMS Cento 22V Pipe Cutter handles several common pipe materials.

Depending on the setup, the machine can cut pipe from about 1/4 inch up to four-inch Schedule 40 steel.

A foot switch starts the cutting process. The operator controls the feed rate with a lever on the front of the machine.

REMS offers different cutting wheels for plastic, copper, stainless steel, multilayer pipe, and steel.

During the demonstration, the cutter created a clean exterior edge on copper tubing. The inside still required reaming.

Users can complete that finishing step at the same workstation with a reaming attachment or nearby tool.

For contractors who process a high volume of pipe, the Cento 22V offers a controlled and repeatable cutting method.

Veto Pro Pac EVO Tool Bags

Veto Pro Pac introduced the EVO system, a new collection of professional bags and removable magnetic pouches.

The pouches slide into mounting points on compatible host bags. Strong magnets hold them in place.

Users can also attach the pouches to a belt, place them in a pocket, or stick them to a metal surface.

An HVAC technician could attach a pouch to a condenser. An electrician could place one on a metal panel. Both users could keep essential tools close to the work area.

Veto offers pouches for meters, hand tools, drills, impact drivers, test leads, utility knives, and other equipment.

The company also updated several popular bags and backpacks to support EVO accessories.

These bags retain familiar Veto features. They include rigid bottoms, upright construction, double-sided storage, and extensive internal organization.

Veto expected the new EVO bags to become available in April 2026.

KNIPEX Super Knips

KNIPEX also demonstrated its Super Knips precision cutters.

During the demonstration, the cutter trimmed a cable tie almost flush with the surface.

Standard cutters can leave a sharp plastic edge behind. That edge may scratch a technician or damage nearby wiring.

The Super Knips create a smoother finish. They can help when assembling panels, organizing wire bundles, and installing control systems.

WAGO VP200 Control System

Many professionals know WAGO for its lever-style wire connectors. However, the company also produces industrial automation equipment.

At AHR, WAGO displayed the VP200 human-machine interface, also known as an HMI.

The VP200 gives users a visual way to monitor and control equipment. It may also provide a more accessible starting point for automation projects.

Users can pair it with a controller, input and output modules, a power supply, an enclosure, and DIN rail components.

The system can display equipment status, track inputs, monitor performance, and provide basic controls.

Contractors and facility teams could use the VP200 to add automation to building or mechanical systems.

MRCOOL Universal HVAC System

MRCOOL may be best known for its DIY mini-split products. At AHR, the company also displayed the second generation of its Universal ducted split system.

This central HVAC system provides whole-home heating and cooling.

MRCOOL says the high-efficiency system can maintain full heating output at temperatures as low as minus 15 degrees Fahrenheit.

Contractors can also configure it as a dual-fuel system. Compatible furnace and coil components support that setup.

The second-generation system uses R-454B refrigerant.

Installers can connect it with MRCOOL’s pre-charged No-Vac line set. The line set arrives evacuated and ready for installation.

Contractors can also use traditional connection methods when the project requires them.

MRCOOL had already released the second-generation Universal system by the time of the show.

Milwaukee M18 Refrigerant Recovery Machine and Vacuum Pump

Milwaukee continues to expand its cordless HVAC service lineup.

The M18 Vacuum Pump (2941-21) allows technicians to replace the battery during an application. They can make the battery change without losing the vacuum they already created.

This design reduces the need for extension cords or nearby electrical outlets.

Milwaukee also introduced an M18 Refrigerant Recovery Machine. It gives technicians another way to complete a fully cordless HVAC service call.

Milwaukee says the machine can recover up to 10 pounds of refrigerant on one battery. It can also provide about 90 minutes of runtime.

A self-purging feature pushes remaining refrigerant into the recovery tank. This creates a cleaner recovery process.

How These New AHR Expo Products Could Affect the Trades

The 2026 AHR Expo showed that manufacturers want to solve more than basic performance problems.

Companies now focus on portability, cleanliness, comfort, organization, automation, and efficiency.

Milwaukee continues to remove cords from HVAC and pipe-service applications. Field Controls and Resideo give contractors more control over home comfort and air quality.

Veto Pro Pac makes tools easier to organize and access. DEWALT simplifies the installation of suspended mechanical systems.

WAGO also gives contractors a more approachable way to explore automation.

Some of these products solve one small but frustrating problem. Others can change how an entire home or commercial building manages airflow.

Together, they provide a clear look at the next generation of HVAC tools and technology.
