This Milwaukee PACKOUT should NOT be a thing. But it is. Plus a few Power Tool Videos you missed!

Welcome back, power tool fans! In this special mid-week episode of the Power Tool Week in Review, we’ve got a variety of videos that didn’t make it into last week’s show but are too good to miss. From Milwaukee PACKOUTs gone wrong to some interesting new tools from Ryobi and Metabo HPT, we’ve got it all! Let’s dive in!

1. Metabo HPT’s 36V Cordless Router – Too Much Power?

First up, ToolsAndStuff takes a deep dive into the brand-new 36V Metabo HPT cordless trim router. Yes, you read that right—36V for a trim router! But why? Does a tool like this really need that kind of juice? ToolsAndStuff gives us a detailed look at this beast of a tool and, honestly, it’s hard not to be a little curious about it. While 36V may sound overkill for a trim router, the added power can’t hurt, right? Plus, the views of New Zealand in the video make it feel like a mini vacation. Pro tip: Keep an eye out for the sneaky hobbits and wizards hiding in the snow.

2. Ryobi’s 48V Zero-Turn Mower – Lawn Care Meets Power Tools

Next, we head to ConcordCarpenter where Rob checks out Ryobi’s 48V, 54-inch Zero-Turn mower. Ryobi has been pushing the envelope with outdoor tools, and this mower is no exception. Rob and his team spent a season testing this mower, and while it’s packed with features (like cup holders and storage bins big enough for lunch), the real question is: Does it actually cut grass well? Spoiler alert: it does, and it does it quietly with instant torque, reduced emissions, and minimal maintenance—pretty much everything you could want in a battery-powered lawn mower. Of course, no tool is perfect, so Rob also highlights a few things that didn’t work as well, but overall, it’s a solid piece of outdoor equipment.

3. Project Farm’s Best Pliers – Which Ones Reign Supreme?

Moving on to Project Farm, Todd is back at it, this time putting a variety of tongue and groove pliers through the wringer to find out which are truly the best. From the budget-friendly options to the pricy heavy hitters, Todd tests them all in his usual style—by abusing them until they break (or until he deems them worthy). The results are pretty eye-opening, especially when you see what separates the top contenders from the rest of the pack. If you’re in the market for new pliers, this is a must-watch to make sure you get the best value for your money.

4. Milwaukee PACKOUT “Crapout” – This One’s… Questionable

Now, let’s get to the ManCaverTools segment. If you thought you had seen it all, think again. Dave took a perfectly good Milwaukee PACKOUT rolling box, hacked up the lid, and installed a toilet seat to make a… well, let’s just call it a portable potty. Yes, you read that right—a fully functioning toilet built into a Milwaukee PACKOUT. We’re not sure whether to laugh or cringe, but it’s real, and it’s absolutely ridiculous. The whole project started with Dave needing a temporary toilet while remodeling his bathroom, but let’s be real: this “innovation” should not be a thing. You’ve got to watch the video to fully grasp the absurdity, but trust us, you’ll be entertained (and possibly a little disturbed) by what Dave pulls off.

Wrapping Up the Week

So, that’s your mid-week power tool fix! From overpowered trim routers to bizarre DIY projects and top-tier tool reviews, it’s been a fun one. Thanks to Flex and Ohio Power Tool for sponsoring this episode—you guys make it all possible.
