10 NEW Power Tools and Tech we found at IBS!

The International Builders’ Show is always packed with new ideas. IBS 2026 in Orlando was no different. Builders, remodelers, contractors, and tool fans showed up to see the latest in jobsite tools, measuring tech, mobility solutions, deck systems, home products, and more.

In this episode of the Tool Show, Rob and the crew picked 10 standout finds from the show floor. Some were brand-new tools. Others were clever products built to solve real problems on the job. From sheet goods mobility and instant room scanning to hidden deck fasteners and drywall repair, IBS 2026 delivered a wide mix of practical innovation.

IBS 2026 Brought More Than Just Tools

The International Builders’ Show is not a traditional power tool event. That is part of what makes it interesting. You do not just see drills, saws, and impacts. You see products built for builders, finish carpenters, remodelers, flooring installers, deck builders, and home improvement pros.

This year’s show featured new measuring technology, jobsite mobility products, deck installation systems, work boots, drywall repair solutions, and even residential elevators. That mix gave contractors a broader look at the tools and technology shaping the building industry in 2026.

Grabo Roller Makes Moving Sheet Goods Easier

Grabo already has a strong reputation for moving heavy materials. At IBS 2026, the company showed off a new accessory that makes that system even more useful. The Grabo Roller adds wheels to the equation, which helps users move large sheet goods and heavy materials with less effort.

Instead of lifting and carrying from the top, users can attach the Grabo Roller near the bottom and turn a heavy panel into something that rolls. That simple idea could make a big difference when moving plywood, doors, or other bulky materials around a jobsite. It looks especially helpful for smaller crews or solo workers who need to move materials without a second set of hands.

The Grabo Roller had not launched yet at the time of the video, but it looked like one of the smartest simple accessories at the show.

Kneel-It Offers a Better Mobility Solution for Floor Work

One of the most unique finds at IBS 2026 was the Kneel-It mobility system. This product is designed for people who spend long hours working close to the floor. That includes flooring installers, concrete grinders, finish workers, and other tradespeople who need support, mobility, and comfort throughout the day.

The system gives users a supported kneeling position while still allowing movement. It also folds down for transport and storage without tools. That is a big plus for contractors who need something that travels easily from truck to jobsite.

Kneel-It also includes features like a braking system, tool-free caster replacement, and even a chest support attachment for leaning forward during grinding applications. It is one of those products that immediately shows you it was designed around real-world jobsite use.

Moasure LX1 Could Be a Big Step Forward in Measuring Tech

Moasure has already built a strong following with its motion-based measuring tools. At IBS 2026, the company showed off the new LX1 instant room scan system. This new device combines motion-based measurement with laser technology to help users map floor plans quickly.

That means users can move through a room, scan around obstacles, and generate measurements without relying on traditional methods. According to the demo, the tool can provide floor area, elevations, ceiling heights, and export-ready data for CAD workflows.

For contractors, remodelers, estimators, and installers, that could be a major time saver. Fast and accurate room measurement matters when quoting jobs, planning layouts, or feeding data into design software. If the LX1 performs the way it looked in the demo, it could become one of the most talked-about measuring tools of 2026.

Residential Elevators Show the Luxury Side of IBS

Not every interesting product at IBS 2026 was a tool. Residential Elevators brought something completely different to the show floor. The company showed off custom home elevator systems with hydraulic and traction options, touchscreen controls, and a range of design choices.

While this is obviously a different category than jobsite tools, it still fits the kind of products builders and remodelers may work around in high-end residential construction. The demo also highlighted accessibility benefits, especially with wider entry designs and user-friendly controls.

It may not be something every contractor installs every week, but it definitely stood out as one of the more memorable stops in the episode.

Tecovas Expands Into Work Boots

Tecovas built its name in western footwear, but at IBS 2026 the company showed that it is taking work boots seriously too. The lineup includes safety toe, slip-resistant, electrical hazard rated, waterproof boots designed for tough jobsite conditions.

The company also emphasized that these boots still carry the style and leather quality people expect from Tecovas. That matters because many tradespeople want work boots that perform well without looking bulky or generic.

One highlight from the video was Tecovas’ newer women’s work boot offerings. That is an important step, especially as more women in the trades look for durable and properly designed work footwear that does not feel like an afterthought.

Wrango Tools Launches With a Focus on Lightweight Titanium Hand Tools

IBS 2026 also introduced viewers to a brand-new company called Wrango Tools. The brand launched with a lineup of premium titanium hand tools, including hammers, pry bars, trim bars, and tomahawks.

The pitch behind Wrango is simple. Lighter tools can reduce fatigue over time. For contractors who swing a hammer or carry hand tools all day, even a small reduction in weight can matter. The company also focused on details like replaceable faces, replaceable grips, and slim designs that are easier to carry.

Wrango looked especially focused on finish carpenters and framing professionals who want premium tools that reduce strain without sacrificing performance. New tool brands do not show up every day, so this was one of the more interesting discoveries at the show.

Mud Plugs Offers a Faster Way to Repair Drywall Anchor Holes

Mud Plugs was one of the cleverest practical products at IBS 2026. The idea is simple but appealing. Instead of filling large drywall anchor holes with repeated layers of spackle, Mud Plugs uses repair plugs that fill the hole fast and reduce drying and shrinking issues.

The system includes a prep tool and plug sizes for common hole diameters. After soaking the plug in water, the user preps the hole, inserts the plug, and creates a repair that can be sanded and painted much faster than a traditional spackle-only repair.

For landlords, apartment renters, painters, remodelers, and DIY users, this product could save time and frustration. It may not be flashy, but it solves a very common problem in a much cleaner way.

Kwikset’s Garage Door Opener Adds Smart Home Convenience

Kwikset is already well known for smart locks, and IBS 2026 showed how the brand is expanding deeper into connected home access. Its garage door opener works with the same Kwikset app used for smart door locks, which means users can manage both entry points in one place.

That kind of convenience matters for homeowners, builders, and contractors working on smarter homes. The system also includes features like scheduled access, contractor permissions, battery backup, and quiet operation. Lighting output was another key feature, with higher-end models offering strong built-in LED lighting.

For builders and homeowners already invested in the Kwikset ecosystem, this looked like a smart extension of a familiar platform.

FastenMaster Zip Deck System Focuses on Speed and Hidden Fasteners

FastenMaster brought one of the most contractor-friendly systems at IBS 2026 with its new Zip Deck hidden fastening system. Deck builders want clean finishes, but they also want faster installs. This system aims to deliver both.

One of the biggest advantages is the ability to lay out and gap multiple boards at once before installing clips. That saves time compared to systems that force users to alternate between boards and clips one at a time. FastenMaster also showed a standing installation setup that lets users drive clips without bending over for every fastener.

The clips themselves also stood out. The system works with several major decking brands and offers the ability to install close to the house where many hidden fastener systems struggle. For deck contractors, that mix of speed, precision, and clean appearance makes this one of the strongest product launches in the video.

Skudo Tub Protect Is a Smart Solution for Remodelers

Skudo’s Tub Protect was one of the simplest ideas at the show, but it may also be one of the most useful. The product applies like a liquid coating to protect tubs during construction and remodeling. Once dry, it creates a peelable protective layer that helps prevent scratches, dust buildup, and other damage.

That matters because tubs can get damaged easily during a busy remodel. Replacing or repairing one late in the project can be expensive and frustrating. A product like this helps protect the finish while different trades move through the job.

The fact that it can stay in place for up to a year makes it even more practical for projects that run longer than expected, which of course happens all the time.

Why IBS 2026 Stood Out

IBS 2026 stood out because it covered such a wide range of builder-focused products. This was not just about power tools. It was about making work easier across the whole building process. That included measuring, mobility, fastening, storage, flooring, wall repair, and finish protection.

That broad view is valuable because builders and contractors do not work in narrow categories. They solve problems all day. The best products at IBS 2026 reflected that reality. They were practical, purpose-built, and designed to save time or reduce hassle.

The Best New Tools and Tech from IBS 2026

The International Builders’ Show delivered a fun mix of new tools, helpful accessories, and smart building products. Some of the best finds were high-tech, like the Moasure LX1. Others were simple, like Mud Plugs or Skudo Tub Protect. But all of them had one thing in common. They solved real problems.

Grabo added mobility to an already useful system. Kneel-It improved comfort and movement for floor work. FastenMaster rethought hidden deck fastening. Wrango launched a promising new titanium hand tool line. Kwikset expanded smart access into the garage. And Moasure may have shown one of the most exciting measuring tools in the whole episode.

If this Tool Show recap proved anything, it is that IBS 2026 had a lot more for tool fans than many people might expect.
