Makita GBU02Z Compact 40V XGT Blower
Makita’s new GBU02Z is a compact yet powerful 40V XGT blower delivering up to 127 CFM and 221 MPH of airspeed at just 2.9 pounds (bare tool). It’s designed for fast cleanup without the bulk. Expect about 30 minutes of runtime with a 4.0Ah pack. MSRP is $159, with pre-orders open now.
Milwaukee Packout Van Rack System
Milwaukee’s long-awaited Packout Rack Kit is finally shipping, offering modular, adjustable racking for vans, trailers, and shops. Each setup includes two steel racks, four sliding drawers, and mounting hardware. It’s robust, smooth-gliding, and locks tight for transit. But it comes at a premium—$2,000 for a full kit, with individual components sold separately. You can pre-order now at Ohio Power Tool.
Milwaukee M18 Fuel Backpack Vacuum
The new M18 Fuel Backpack Vac delivers 70 CFM and 55″ of lift with a built-in HEPA canister and mini cyclone. Runtime exceeds 40 minutes using a Forge XC8.0 battery. Features include a reworked padded harness, 6-foot hose, telescoping wand, crevice tool, and onboard storage. MSRP is $349, but it’s listed at $299 on Ohio Power Tool.
Milwaukee M18/M12 Gang Box Rapid Charger
The Gangbox Rapid Charger includes four battery bays (2 M18, 2 M18/M12 hybrid), dual 15W USB-C ports, and a fold-down 450-lumen work light. Magnetized for mounting to shelves or boxes, it supports side-by-side stacking in gang boxes. Charges two XC5.0s in about an hour. Available soon for $299, with preorders now live.
Festool Cordless Domino Joiner: DFC500
Festool delivers what woodworkers have been asking for, the DFC500 Cordless Domino. Running on 18V Festool batteries, it weighs just 7.5 lbs and delivers the same precision mortising as the corded DF500. It uses the same cutters and tenons (4mm to 10mm) and features a reinforced double-column fence. Launching September 2025. Pricing for the U.S. is still pending.
