I have very good news people. Milwaukee, in their Pipeline Episode 2 event, just announced the answer to just about every PACKOUT prayer we’ve ever had. Let’s get into it.
I’m going to jump right into the good stuff, starting with something we all hoped was coming, but never dared dream. That’s right, PACKOUT Drawers.
PACKOUT Drawers
First up the PACKOUT 2 Drawer Tool Box features a 50lb weight capacity, and a locking security bar so you can use a padlock to keep your parts safe from the 5 guys on your crew who always borrow stuff. To make sure these drawers can stand up to daily use and abuse, the slides feature all-metal ball bearings and metal reinforced corners. And the quick adjust dividers will make it easy to customize it to your own needs.
Tragically, The PACKOUT 2 Drawer tool box won’t be available until early 2021. Until then you can preorder one for $134.99
Next up is the all new PACKOUT 3 Drawer Tool Box, which has an entire additional drawer! That’s right people, you can see right there in the picture, it’s got 3 drawers, and just like it’s 2 drawer sibling, the big brother comes with the same padlock compatible security bar, all metal ball bearings, reinforced corners and the quick adjust dividers. The best part, is that when it becomes available in early 2021, it’ll only cost $15 more at $149.99
PACKOUT 2-Wheel Cart
But Drawers weren’t the only innovation to come to PACKOUT . Mobility has always been a critical trademark of the PACKOUT system, and now the PACKOUT 2 Wheel Cart means you can bring just the PACKOUTs you need, without tying you to the old PACKOUT Rolling Tool Box.
The 2-Wheel Cart allows you to securely stack up to 400lbs worth of PACKOUT goodness, or even hand them on the back rack, either horizontally or vertically.
And of course with the 10 in industrial wheels, it’s the perfect dolly for just about anything else you need to move onto the jobsite. The PACKOUT 2 Wheel Cart will be available this October for $199.99.
PACKOUT Customizable Work Top
We’re not done with PACKOUT yet. Milwaukee also included a few pleasant accessories, starting with the PACKOUT Customizable Work Top, which features a fastener ready design that works with vises, chargers, and a variety of other items right to the top of your PACKOUT stack.
It’s made with the expected impact resistant polymers, and features a ½” marine grade wood top with a 50lb capacity. The PACKOUT Customizable Work Top will be here in October for only $49.99
PACKOUT Racking Shelf
Now we’ve all been asking for an improved wall mounting system for some time now, and today Milwaukee delivered with PACKOUT Racking Shelves.
These shelves attach to standard vertical e-Track, and can support up to 50lbs each. This will finally allow us to customize a racking system based on our individual needs, and allow us to include room to open boxes while they’re mounted to the wall. YES PLEASE.
And just in case you’re mounting these in a truck, they include integrated tie down points for securing them during travel. In early 2021, you’ll be able to buy individual PACKOUT Racking Shelves for $49.99 each, or a PACKOUT Racking Kit which includes 2 Racking Shelves and 2 20” lengths of vertical E-Track for only $129.99
M18 PACKOUT Light/Charger
And finally, Milwaukee surprised us with a PACKOUT solution we personally didn’t ask for, but after a first glance, we desperately need it to survive. Go figure.
This is the M18 PACKOUT Light/Charger. This half width PACKOUT box features 3 different independent rotating light heads that aim to illuminate not only the work at hand, but it even acts as this ingenious set of headlights for your PACKOUT Stack as you work your way to the jobsite.
But more than just a battery powered lighting system, this is also an M18 Battery Charger. Plus this into the wall and you can charge your batteries on the jobsite. Plus, they included a 2.1amp usb port for charging your phone as well.
The lights feature Milwaukee’s TrueView high definition output system, ensuring the blue wire looks blue, and the red one looks red. The smaller lights put out up to 1000 lumens while the Main light can hit 1500 on high. With an XC 5.0 battery in place you could use all three lights on high, up to an impressive 4 hours. Using just one of the smaller lights on low would run for 31 hours. I honestly never thought of adding lighting to my PACKOUT stack, but as I mentioned before, I’m only going to be half a man until I can get this new M18 PACKOUT Light and Charger this October, for $199.99.
Now there were other PACKOUT announcements in the first episodes, which you can watch here, and of course you can watch the entire collection of new Milwaukee Tools in our PIPELINE playlist right here.
