The Milwaukee PIPELINE event has started, and we just watched them announce the ALL NEW Milwaukee M12 FUEL HATCHET 6” PRUNING SAW, and we have some additional photos and video to share with you. Yall ready for this?
THIS is the Milwaukee M12 FUEL HATCHET 6” Pruning Saw to the absolute joy of chainsaw maniacs on the go. Also Arborist and landscapers I guess. This tiny titan of power comes equipped with a 6” Oregon Bar and Chain, providing the capacity to cut up to 3” hardwoods.
Of course the big story is the tiny size and weight that make it possible to deliver this new power in the tightest of topiary spaces. Do you use a pruning saw on topiaries? I don’t know. But it sounded good.
It comes equipped with the expected variable speed trigger and metal bucking spikes. But it’s the chain that really stands out. The Oregon 6” chain leverages a full-house design with a cutter on every drive link as opposed to every other drive link on a standard saw chain. This means cleaner cuts and less vibration.
It also features an automatic oiler which is greatly appreciated, easy access chain tensioner, and onboard storage for the scrench.
And of course, you can’t ignore the FUEL in the name, which means it benefits from Milwaukee’s POWERSTATE Brushless motor, REDLITHIUM Battery Pack and REDLINK PLUS Intelligence Hardware and Software that brings it all together.
The M12 FUEL HATCHET 6” Pruning saw is 18.5” long, 9” tall and 3 ¾” wide, and weights only 4.85 lbs with a battery. Want one? Me too. It will be available THIS month, and you can pre-order one right now over at Ohio Power Tool for only $179 for the bare tool or $249 in a kit.
