When you think of your most used tool on the job your first though might not be of work boots however think about doing your job bare foot and you might have a little more appreciation for just how much abuse you work boots take in a day. Keen Utility Boots have only been around a few years but have really made a name for themselves very fast and built a loyal fan base by taking all the comfort and technology of a hiking boot and adding all the functionality for professional trades.
From April – June Bosch Power Tools and Keen Utility Boots have teamed up to offer a FREE $200 Keen Gift Card (enough for about just any boot and then some) with a qualified in-store purchase at a Bosch System Specialist (BSS) Location. Find a BSS dealer near you, sorry online orders do not qualify! For those in Central Ohio visit Ohio Power Tool a BSS location for full details.
Our weekly Facebook Contest is currently featuring one of these $200 Keen Gift Cards, you can win without any purchase. Right away we had many comments, all very positive (not always the case) about the Keen boots and brand in general. Mike H, “Friends, I wear Keen Pittsburg steel toed work boots every day on the job site and let me assure you they are AWESOME! They are like wearing an old pair of broken in hiking boots” or Adam G, sent a picture in and just said “Best pair of boots I’ve ever owned”.
We recently had the opportunity to test out some of the Keen boots ourselves and can say we understand why they have created such a loyal fan base so quickly. Our team tested the Detroit Low EDS (Electro Static Dissipative), the NEW Bradock Mid AL WP (ANSI non-slip rated & KEEN.DRY Waterproof) and the Milwaukee WP (KEEN.DRY waterproof) full size work boot. Right out of the box it was clear these are different from your average work boot. All 3 pair are extremely comfortable with little to no break-in period. They all feature the left/right asymmetrical steel toes which provides a more natural feel and protection. Additionally all feature lining with hydrophobic/hydrophilic 2-zone comfort technology.
The Bradock is the most recent boot to join the Keen Utility Family as of spring 2015 and there is this pretty nice video highlighting some of the features of this boot.
