NEW TOOLS! Milwaukee takes on DeWALT, Klein gets a new Planer Laser Level, we try new battery tech!
DeWALT’s PowerStack Battery: A Game-Changer?
DeWALT is back with something big. They’ve redefined what a tool battery can be, introducing the PowerStack – a revolutionary new 20V battery that uses lithium-ion pouches instead of traditional cylindrical cells. The results? A lighter, more compact battery that delivers 50% more power than its predecessors.
We were fortunate enough to be at the DeWALT PowerStack Battery Event in Baltimore, where they unveiled the new tech. While the company teased only one 1.7Ah battery for now, they promised more options are coming. And while the trike we hoped for didn’t materialize (we really wanted a trike), we were more than impressed by the battery’s performance. Could this be the future of DeWALT’s lineup? Only time will tell!
DeWALT vs Milwaukee: The Battle Continues
Speaking of DeWALT, over at PhillyFixed, Jim took the DeWALT DCF-850 and went head-to-head with Milwaukee’s M18 Fuel rival. If you’ve ever wondered which brand reigns supreme in the tool world, this showdown is definitely for you. And, of course, Jim’s shirt? Well… let’s just say it’s enough to create some friendly rivalries. For all the details on this epic battle, check out the full review.
But there’s more! TorqueTestChannel also gave their take on the DeWALT Mid-Torque DCF-894 by pitting it against Milwaukee’s Gen 2 Mid-Torque 2962 and the Craftsman (because why not?). If you’ve ever been curious about mid-torque wrenches, this video is a must-watch.
Milwaukee M18 Vac Shootout: Which One Should You Choose?
Over at VCGConstruction, Vince is back with another epic showdown: the Milwaukee M18 Cordless Wet/Dry Vac vs. the M18 Fuel Packout Wet/Dry Vac. They might seem similar at first glance, but Vince puts both through rigorous testing to figure out which one delivers better performance. With a 0.5-gallon difference and some key battery differences, which one will win your jobsite over? Tune in for all the details, plus a few pro tips.
The Milwaukee PACKOUT Rolling Toolbox: Is It Really for You?
The Milwaukee PACKOUT Rolling Toolbox is the next tool to get some serious scrutiny. TheDurbinCompound’s Devin took this new double-wide version of the PACKOUT system for a test drive. Spoiler alert: It’s heavy. So heavy that Devin started questioning whether it’s even worth stacking more boxes on top. While the tool chest is built to last, it turns out this might not be the right choice for everyone. Devin’s verdict? This one’s not for the faint of heart. Want to know if it’s right for you? Check out the full review over on TheDurbinCompound.
Klein Tools’ New Planer Laser Level: A Game-Changer for Precision
Over at SparkyChannel, Bill takes us through the features of Klein Tools’ New Planer Laser Level – the 93PPL. This self-leveling, rechargeable laser projects in the X, Y, and Z planes and comes equipped with an integrated magnetic mounting bracket. For the pros who need precision, this is a must-have for any toolbox. And yes, it’s dust and water-resistant (IP54). Bill walks us through all the amazing features, including how long the lithium-ion battery lasts. Spoiler: It’ll keep you going for up to 9 hours. For the full review, head over to SparkyChannel and be prepared to feel just a little envious of Bill’s helicopter trip over Hoover Dam at the end. (Seriously, how does he do it?)
