Dusty Robotics: The Future of Jobsite Productivity

First up, we have something truly futuristic from Dusty Robotics. This team is working hard to bring a robotic field printer to job sites that promises to take the hassle out of layout work. The Dusty Field Printer will help map out wall lines, soffits, doorways, and more, all with 1/16-inch accuracy. Imagine reducing human error and speeding up the layout process by letting the robot do all the heavy lifting! NEW Gear from Klein and Connects

The new Klein rechargeable pro thermal imager (KLN-TI290) takes thermal diagnostics to the next level with Wi-Fi capabilities. With over 49,000 pixels, it helps you troubleshoot hot and cold spots easily, and with adjustable temperature alarms, it’s perfect for a variety of tasks. You can snag this for around $500.

On the tool bag front, Connects introduced the X18 Modular Tool Backpack—a recycled polyester bag designed for comfort and durability. It’s packed with features, including a ton of customizable pockets, elastic straps, and padded compartments. Plus, they’ve also released a new needle nose combination pliers—perfect for all kinds of installation and repair work.

Ryobi’s Exciting New Releases

Ryobi also made some big waves with its 18V OnePlus HP brushless edger, promising 60% faster blade speed and up to twice the runtime of standard models. It’s designed for aggressive edging and comes with an easy-to-use depth adjustment. Available this May for $239 (bare) or $269 (with kit), this tool is sure to help you tackle your outdoor projects with ease.

Additionally, Ryobi is expanding their Link system with new storage and organization solutions. From 17-inch tool bags to wire shelving and a wall-mounted cabinet, you’ll have everything you need to keep your gear in order.

And for those tackling some tough outdoor work, Ryobi’s new 40V HP 20-inch brushless chainsaw is designed to replace gas-powered chainsaws. With a 36-inch cut capacity, this chainsaw is packed with power and comes in at $479 (with kit). Whether you’re clearing trees or trimming limbs, this one should be on your radar!

Milwaukee and DeWALT: A Battle for the Top Spot

When it comes to power tools, Milwaukee and DeWALT are always ready to bring their A-game. This week, both brands were in the spotlight, showcasing some fierce competition in the angle grinder category. The Milwaukee M18 Fuel Grinder (2880-22) and DeWALT FlexVolt Grinder (DW-DCG418B) are two powerhouses battling it out to see who can offer the best performance, power, and precision.

DeWALT also made some exciting announcements with their 20V Belt Sander (DW-DCW220B). After some early tests, the team seemed pretty impressed with its performance. It’s perfect for smoothing surfaces and taking on big sanding tasks, so if you’re a fan of sanding, definitely check it out.
