Welcome back, tool fans! This week, we’ve got some major updates, including new tool releases from FLEX, RIDGID, HILTI, and Milwaukee. From a revolutionary circular saw to an exclusive Milwaukee Platinum Tool Deal, there’s a lot to dive into. Plus, we’ve got an exciting look at high-output batteries and a heartfelt message for Ryobi fans. Let’s get into it!

FLEX’s Third Wave – Compact and Powerful Tools
FLEX continues to impress with their third wave of products. This week, they dropped four new tools, starting with a super-compact hammer drill: the FX 1231 half inch, two-speed compact hammer drill (FLEX-FX1231-1A). It delivers an impressive 650 inch-pounds of torque while being 9% more compact and 19% lighter than its predecessor. Moreover, it boasts an incredible runtime, drilling 85 5/16-inch holes in concrete with just a 2.5Ah battery.

Next up is the FX 2331 – a 2.5-inch compact bandsaw. This little guy is 27% more compact and 43% lighter than its 5-inch counterpart, making it perfect for tight spaces or one-handed cuts.

But FLEX wasn’t done there. They also introduced the new FX 4221 trim router (FLEX-FX4221-1F), which surprised everyone with its 1.5 max horsepower brushless motor and efficient depth adjustment system. Additionally, it offers a variable speed dial and a runtime of 275 feet on a 5Ah battery.

Hilti’s New Additions to the Neuron Line
Meanwhile, Hilti is back with even more tools in their Neuron battery platform. With 30 new tools announced, they’re quickly surpassing 100 total products in this lineup. Among the new offerings are a rear-handle cordless cutoff saw and new concrete vibrators. Of note is the DSH 722 cordless cutoff saw, which runs on a 12-inch blade and boasts a cutting depth of 4.75 inches. Thanks to the smart Neuron battery and optimized blades, it’s 30% more efficient than gas-powered counterparts.

RIDGID Celebrates 100 Years with New Tools
In other news, RIDGID is celebrating 100 years of innovation with some exciting new tools and a special anniversary wrench. During our visit to their headquarters, we learned all about their new FXP battery platform and the impressive 760 FXP power drive threader. This tool provides up to 32-inch threads on a single charge and works seamlessly with RIDGID’s existing pipe cutters.

Milwaukee’s New Products on the M12 Platform
Moreover, Milwaukee fans have a lot to look forward to this year. Their new M12 packout floodlight
(KIT-2356-20-48-59-2424) offers 1400 lumens, USB charging, and compatibility with Milwaukee’s M12 platform. This compact powerhouse will be available in February for just $129. Additionally, they announced a new 4-in-1 multi-bit screwdriver and a 12-foot telescoping laser pole for $149. Both tools come with handy features to make your work easier and more efficient.

The Truth About High Output Batteries
Ever wondered if high-output batteries live up to the hype? Our friends over at Project Farm did some extensive testing, comparing high-output batteries from Cobalt, Ryobi, RIDGID, and Milwaukee. They put these batteries to the test with heavy-duty tools like chainsaws, circular saws, and leaf blowers. Check out their findings to see if these batteries really deliver the power they claim.

FLEX’s Inline Circular Saw – A Game Changer
FLEX introduced their new 24V inline circular saw, a tool that sets itself apart from traditional models. The motor, battery, and blade are aligned in a straight line, offering the depth of cut of a 7-1/4-inch saw but with the comfort and maneuverability of a 6-1/2-inch model. After testing it on various materials, Mark from Builder gave it high marks for performance and ease of use.

Finally, this week was packed with exciting tool releases and updates. From compact powerhouses to groundbreaking innovations, the tool world is in full swing for 2025. Be sure to keep an eye on all these brands as they continue to push boundaries and offer new solutions for professionals and DIY enthusiasts alike.
