Just announced Southwire will be launching 2 new digital multimeters that pack a lot of professional features at a very aggressive price. Starting with the manual ranging 10031S ($25) which is rated up to CAT III 300V, AC/DC, includes test leads and the same tough housing that can take a 6’ drop like all their other higher end units. The step up auto-ranging 10041N ($45) is rated up to CAT III 600V, similar features but adds non-contact AC detector, frequency, temperature and duty cycle. For professionals doing mostly residential these meters may check all the boxes. For commercial electricians where higher voltage and/or CAT IV is required clearly these meter are not going to be the right solution for you.
