Milwaukee Wrench Sets

Got to give credit to the team at Milwaukee only a few short years ago they didn’t make 1 hand tools now they are quickly becoming the leaders in many hand tool categories. Combination wrench sets are a little trickier to improve upon as they have done in many other categories but it looks like they have added some nice features. Max Bite on the open end provides up to 25% torque improvement, rounded I-beam design is more comfortable to use, included trays are nice for tool chest storage and ink filled sizing makes identification fast. All around a nice package at a fair price with a life time warranty.

One big question we had, does Max Bite really add 25% more torque simply by adding some groves? This is not new technology Wright Tool has had Wright Grip on their wrenches for many years and proven it does add well over 10% more grip power. When you look at the difference in the video the Wright grooves are very subtle, then a few seconds later you see the Milwaukee Max Bite and the grooves are cavernous in comparison. Do deeper grooves mean even 10-15% more torque… that will require some future testing for us to become believers.

These would make some nice stocking stuffers for Christmas all are in-stock now: 15 piece SAE 48-22-9414, 15 piece Metric 48-22-9514, 7 piece SAE 48-22-9407 and finally 7 piece 48-22-9507.
