Draining Swamps with ECHO! – Mark Thomas Builder

We’re going to start this week off with Mark Thomas, who has a bit of a standing water problem near his Michigan home. Mark utilizes the ECHO WP-1000 to drain the swamp, and it does a commendable job. You can watch the whole review at Mark Thomas Builder on Youtube.

Greenworks Cordless Mower! – Pro Tool Reviews

As long as we’re working outside this week, the guys at Pro Tool Reviews decided to take the Greenworks 60v self-propelled cordless lawnmower out to properly kick off Spring. And it appears to do an excellent job. The guys specifically call out it’s power, wide walking speed range and the unique option of storing it vertically up against a wall. Something you can’t do with a gas mower. The only problem I see with this solution, is figuring out how to still get that awesome smell of gasoline. You can find their video at Pro Tool Reviews on YouTube, and their in depth review at ProToolReviews.com.

They Beat us to 25k and Review the FREAK! – Oz Tool Talk

Our friends down under, Dwain and Mike of Oz Tool Talk, did indeed beat us to 25k subscribers this week.  Alright I think we’ve covered them enough. I’m calling for a full Oz Tool Talk ban. Which is a shame. Because just this week, they got their hands on the Bosch FREAK, a personal favorite of ours. It’s a hybrid hex and square mount drill that they seem to like quite a bit. I would have told you not to miss the video, and head over to Oz Tool Talk on YouTube, but since I just banned them from the show.

Sarah’s Project of The Week – Her Tool Belt!

It’s Project of the Week time! For those of you who live where warmer weather has finally arrived Amy from Her Tool Belt has the perfect project for you! Matt Lowe found this project and sent it to me this week, Thanks Matt!  Amy shared a very detailed article on how she built her Redwood Pergola for her yard and I am crazy jealous. I would love to have one of these in my backyard! It really creates an inviting, relaxing space where there was nothing before. Amy does a good job walking you through exactly what worked for her, why she chose the materials she did, and a fun but not very conventional way to persuade the beams into place!  So, if you are ready to be productive, find a fun project and get building, head over to Her Tool Belt.com for this project and many many more!

Deck’n Season Has Begun! – Toolaholic

Spring has certainly sprung, and as the Toolaholic puts it, it’s Deck’n season! To get us all prepared, Keefer showed off the Camo Deck Drive Tool. It’s a collated attachment that works with any standard ½” drill chuck, and makes it easy to screw your deck together either on the  face, edge, or utilize the camo edge x clips, completely hiding your fasteners for a really clean look. Be sure to check out Toolaholic on YouTube!

Hilti Cordless Concrete Tools! – Tool Box Buzz

Sometimes we forget that the pros at Tool Box Buzz also post some great original content on Instagram! This week they shared a couple photos from a concrete pour, which is cool enough as it is. But they used the opportunity to point out how reliable and tough their Hilti cordless concrete tools are. They mention that they can’t hardly remember what it was like before cordless tools. This got us thinking… are there any tools you use regularly at your job that can’t be replaced by a cordless solution? If so, let us know in the comments below. And don’t forget to follow tool box buzz on Instagram.

Bosch Bulldog Power! – Tools By Design

For the last few weeks we’ve been working with some concrete pros to put together an Inside Look at the new Cordless Bulldog from Bosch. Until we get that done, you can get a good look at this new monster thanks to Toolsbydesign, who took to Instagram this week to show off the new drill, and praised it for its power, utility and most importantly, it’s built in kickback protection. You can see all of the photos for yourself at toolsbydesign on Instagram.

Old Vs New Love of Drywall Screw Drivers! – The French Canadian Carpenter

Our last stop this week lands us on Instagram once again, where The French Canadian Carpenter shared a photo of his old Makita corded drywall screw driver, professes his love for it, then promptly decides that no other tool deserves to be cordless than this one. Thibault then proceeds to share the sheer joy he found in his new DeWalt cordless drywall screw gun. He admits that there are actually many different cordless options from the likes of Ridgid, Milwaukee and even Makita, and asks us to share our favorites in the comments. If you have a favorite dry wall drill, you can share it at The French Canadian carpenter on Instagram.

Oh! And unrelated, while you’re there you can see his adorable son putting a DeWalt drill through its paces. It’s a tiny human, complete with his own work boots! #parentinggoals
