Milwaukee’s MX Fuel High-Cycle Concrete Vibrator

To kick things off, we headed to the Milwaukee booth, where we got hands-on with their MX Fuel High-Cycle Concrete Vibrator. Designed for ultimate performance, this tool offers the most powerful and consistent concrete consolidation, even in the stiffest mixes. Thanks to the powerful MX Fuel Red Lithium Forge XC80 battery, you no longer need cords or generators. The vibrator is available in multiple whip head configurations (7ft, 16ft, 32ft), delivering consistent power no matter the size of the job. Furthermore, it offers impressive runtime—up to 90 yards of consolidation on an inch-and-three-quarter head! Expect this product to hit shelves in Q2 2024.

Bosch’s X-Lock Carbide Multi-Wheel

Next, we explored Bosch’s X-Lock Carbide Multi-Wheel. This innovative new product allows for easy disc changes without the need for tools or nuts. Simply press down to lock the disc in place—it’s that simple. The Carbide Multi-Wheel is designed for cutting softer materials like wood, PVC, and plastic. Whether you’re cutting through materials you typically wouldn’t with a grinder or just making life easier on-site, this new X-Lock technology is truly a game-changer for your angle grinder.

Hilti’s Exoskeleton

Over at the Hilti booth, we saw something truly groundbreaking: the Hilti Exoskeleton. This wearable exoskeleton redistributes the weight of heavy tools like breakers and drills, making them feel weightless and virtually effortless to handle. The technology behind this device is incredible—it allows for 360-degree movement without compromising on power or safety. If you’re lifting heavy tools all day, this exoskeleton will change the game by reducing strain on your body and increasing productivity.

DeWALT Powershift Battery Platform

Meanwhile, DeWALT showcased their Powershift Battery Platform. With Stack Li technology, this system is incredibly compact and lightweight while delivering unmatched power (up to 5,000 watts). But it’s not just about power—thanks to its fast charger, the system can fully charge the battery in less than an hour! This means more time spent working and less downtime. Additionally, DeWALT announced that you can use existing FlexVolt batteries with the new Powershift tools, making the transition to their latest systems easier than ever.

Makita XGT X2 70lb Breaker Hammer

Next, we checked out Makita’s latest offering: the XGT X2 70lb Breaker Hammer. This tool promises to deliver the same power and efficiency as its electric counterpart—without the cords. Powered by the XGT 40V MAX system, the X2 is perfect for tackling tough demolition jobs. Additionally, with over 130 tools running on the same platform, the XGT X2 will be a must-have for professionals looking for both power and portability. Expect to see it on shelves in the fall of 2024.

Diablo’s Revolutionary Vacuum-Compatible Drill Bits

Not to be outdone, Diablo introduced their vacuum-compatible drill bits, designed to solve common issues faced by contractors working with concrete. Traditional hollow bits often clog, requiring frequent cleaning, but Diablo’s new solid-core design eliminates these problems. Additionally, the carbide-coated head can handle heat up to 1,800°, allowing for cutting through rebar without the risk of overheating. Best of all, these bits retail for just $55—a fraction of the cost of competitors’ options.

Milwaukee’s Submersible Pump

At the Milwaukee booth, we also got a first look at the MX Fuel One-Horsepower Submersible Pump. This game-changing tool requires no generator, making it perfect for confined spaces, puddle pumping, or any job that requires a portable solution. The pump offers up to 90 gallons per minute in performance, with a runtime of up to 2 hours at lower speeds. Furthermore, it features an auto-sensing function that detects when water runs out, automatically shutting off the pump to preserve battery life. You can expect to see this revolutionary pump available for purchase in July 2024 for $2,499.

In conclusion, the World of Concrete 2024 event has showcased an incredible array of innovative products designed to make the job site more efficient and user-friendly. Whether you’re looking for cordless solutions, improved ergonomics, or smarter tools, the industry is clearly heading in an exciting direction.
