Hey guys, I am Sarah. Every week I comb through hundreds of DIY videos preparing projects for our weekly Maker show, Maker Break. Along the way, I find some good projects… and some GREAT ones, And right now, I’m going to share them with you! This is Sarah’s Top 5 DIY Monitor stands, let’s go!

#5 is Ding’s Workshop

This is one of the most unique looking monitor stands that I have found so far. Ding’s idea to use bent wood to make these pretty curves and little cubbies throughout the piece is really appealing to me. I also really like that this is a wide monitor stand so in addition to the actual monitor you have space for other little nik naks that always seem to accumulate on your desk.

#4 is WInston Moy

Going down a more scientific route, we have this project from Winston Moy. He chose to build his monitor stand with walnut and aluminium and his CNC machine. He did end up having a few curve balls thrown his way, but I love how he handled them. Regardless, the outcome of this build is beautiful and functional.

#3 is DIY Tyler

This project has combined three three in woodworking that I absolutely love. Dove Tails, A live edge slab, and continuous grain, creating a waterfall style down the sides. Tyler is an engineer, and I feel like you can see that come through in his woodworking with how careful he is with every detail. This build came together so beautifully. Awesome job Tyler.

#2 is DK Builds

Continuing with the waterfall style we have David’s modern monitor stand that he made using this gorgeous walnut with a much lighter pine accent on the corners. I love that this hovers over the desk and still has a space for storing a keyboard or other little desk accessories.

#1 is Bevelish Creations

So this build from Alex may be one of my favorite builds, ever. I am obsessed with how fun and creative this project is. It has bright colors, fun curves, storage to hide all of that obnoxious desk junk, and the video is pretty entertaining to watch as well! You know, I am starting to think I really need to make a monitor stand.

Have you seen a woodworking project that should have been on my list? Leave a link in the comments below and I’ll be sure to check it out. And don’t forget to join Rob and Me every Friday for Maker Break! I’ll see ya then!
