So does Milwaukee’s LATEST Live up to THE HYPE! Today we find out!

Welcome back, tool enthusiasts! This week, we have a jam-packed episode of #PowerToolWeekInReview with some exciting updates from the world of power tools. From Milwaukee’s new PACKOUT shop storage system to a surprising disappointment from Makita’s 36V powerhead, there’s a lot to unpack. Let’s dive right into the details!

Milwaukee Takes Over the Shop

First up, Milwaukee is making waves with its new PACKOUT shop storage solutions. Rob Robillard from @ConcordCarpenter walks us through the installation process, showing just how intuitive and easy it is to get everything set up. If you’re like me and obsessed with organization, Milwaukee’s customizable and reconfigurable system will have you grinning from ear to ear. With over 20 new SKUs available, there’s plenty of flexibility to meet the needs of your specific workspace. Rob’s review reveals just how functional the system is, from its easy installation to its remarkable durability.

Makita’s 36V Powerhead Fails to Impress

Moving on, we’ve got a bit of a letdown from Makita. Over at @ToolsAndStuffOfficial, they took a deep dive into Makita’s range of powerheads, including their 36V model. While the 18V and 40V models impressed, the 36V version just couldn’t live up to expectations. After testing the blower attachment on various aspects like speed, run time, and battery performance, it’s clear that Makita’s 36V model has some serious shortcomings.

OZToolTalk – Circular Saw Head 2 Head

One of my personal favorite segments this week comes from @OZToolTalk, where our friends down under square off two heavy hitters in the circular saw category: the DeWalt 54V FlexVolt DCS-578 and Makita’s new XGT 40V HS003G. Both tools performed admirably in cross cuts and rip cuts, offering excellent ergonomics and comfort. However, the Makita took the lead on features, while DeWalt earned its praise for sheer power. The full head-to-head comparison is a must-watch for anyone in the market for a new circular saw.

DeWalt’s 20V XR Mid-Torque Impact Wrench

Over at @ShopToolReviews, Tim Johnson takes a closer look at the new DeWalt 20V XR mid-torque impact wrench, which brings up to 800 foot-pounds of breakaway torque and 600 foot-pounds of tightening torque. This tool is a powerhouse, featuring a variable-speed trigger, multiple power modes, and a precision wrench mode for tight fasteners. Tim ran it through some tests and was thoroughly impressed by its performance. If you’re curious to see how this impact wrench stacks up against the competition.
