RIDGID Unveils 23 New Tools!
Starting with RIDGID, they have been hard at work, and this week they’ve dropped 23 new tools for their 18V line, 10 of which are brand new to the market! Among these tools, a standout is the 18V Tracksaw (R48 630), which promises corded cutting performance and 370 feet of cuts on a 6Ah battery. While the full details are still under wraps, we can expect impressive results. Also noteworthy is RIDGID’s launch of a new 18V brushless jigsaw and a compact router. For those into compact tools, the Subcompact brushless line also includes an 18V right angle impact driver and a 38° right angle impact wrench, to name a few.

Bosch: Two New Cordless Miter Saws
Now, let’s talk about Bosch! This week, they introduced two cordless sliding miter saws designed for precision and portability. The GCM18V-10SDN and GCM18V-12GDCN miter saws offer dual bevel cutting with Shadow LED cut lines and are powered by Bosch’s ProFactor brushless tech, ensuring that they can tackle even the toughest jobs. The 10“weighs only 40.2 lbs without the battery, making it much easier to transport. The 12″ version provides a 14″ cross-cut capacity. Both models are available now.
Makita’s New Tools: A Perfect Blend of Power and Innovation
Next up is Makita! They’ve continued to build out their 40V XGT lineup with several exciting tools. One standout is the Makita GTT02D, a four-speed impact driver that packs a punch. It features a super smooth variable speed trigger, making it ideal for precision work, and it’s incredibly compact, measuring only 4.75 inches in length. The kit, complete with a 2.5Ah battery, is priced at $399.
In addition to the impact driver, Makita has launched the GRM4 40V XGT Lantern with Radio. This tool delivers 310 lumens of light in a 360° radius and features a Bluetooth speaker, an FM radio, and a USB charging port. It’s perfect for both work and play, and you can pick it up for just $169.
Milwaukee’s New Tools and Innovations
Moving on to Milwaukee, they’ve announced several game-changing products, including the M18 Fuel Brush Cutter (3015-20). Designed for landscapers, this tool offers two-speed control and a brushless motor that delivers consistent power without bogging down. It will be available in April for $399.
Additionally, Milwaukee has introduced their new Packout Shop Storage Solutions, designed for better tool organization on job sites. These include magnetic bins, tool racks, and more, all fully compatible with the Packout system.

Lowe’s Foundation: $50 Million Investment in Skilled Trades

This initiative, called the Gable Grants program, will help 50,000 individuals enter the skilled trades workforce through partnerships with community colleges and nonprofit organizations.
