DeWalt’s Latest: Sealed Head Ratchets
Let’s kick things off with DeWalt’s latest offering—two new sealed head ratchets. The 20V Max XR 3/8″ and 1/2″ models (DW-DCF510B) are designed for tough, oil-soaked environments. These ratchets feature a sealed head design that protects against oils and automotive solvents. Additionally, the models come with interchangeable anvil designs, allowing you to switch between square drives. The extreme 12V Max version also offers a quarter-inch quick-change hex. Pre-order now for the XR 3/8″ and 1/2″ ratchets.
Ridgid’s Compact Right-Angle Impact Wrenches
Next, Ridgid introduces the 18V subcompact brushless right-angle impact wrench, the R8720B. This tool delivers 250 foot-pounds of breakaway torque, and it’s the most compact in its class. It also offers three speeds, an auto-tightening mode, and an LED light for dim engine bays. The tool is priced at $199. You can also grab a protective boot for $40 to keep it safe while you work.
Metabo HPT’s New Lighting Solutions
Metabo HPT has rolled out two exciting lighting tools. First, the 18V Multivolt Cordless 1050 Lumen LED Handheld Spotlight. This spotlight is portable and offers four light modes, with a runtime of up to 38.5 hours on low. It’s IP55 rated for durability. Second, Metabo HPT launched a 4000 Lumen LED Tripod Site Light, perfect for larger workspaces. Expect the spotlight to cost $79 and the tripod light $199.
Ryobi’s Big Power Moves
Ryobi isn’t holding back. This week, they launched the 1800-watt portable battery power station. With 3000 starting watts and 1800 running watts, this station powers tools and sensitive electronics like laptops. It also features a 1094 watt-hour built-in battery and can charge while recharging. Ryobi also introduced the new 18V One+ HP Swift Clean Mid-Size Spot Cleaner, which provides four times more suction than its competitors. It’ll be available for $169 (bare) this September.
Klein’s New Affordable Thermal Imager
Klein Tools has also unveiled a new, more affordable thermal imaging tool. The TI-270 Rechargeable Thermal Imager offers over 10,000 pixels for precise troubleshooting and a built-in Wi-Fi feature for easy sharing. It can withstand drops from up to 6.7 feet, making it both durable and reliable. Priced at $399, this imager is perfect for professionals and DIYers alike. (KLN-TI290)
Milwaukee’s New Compact Drills and Impact Drivers
Milwaukee just dropped four new compact drills and impact drivers. The M18 Compact Brushless Half-Inch Drill (3601) and Hammer Drill (3602) offer 550 inch-pounds of torque in a lightweight, compact design. Meanwhile, the impact drivers, the 3650 (quarter-inch hex) and 3692 (three-speed), are only 4.4 inches long and weigh just 1.7 pounds. New Diamond Core Bits from Milwaukee
In addition to drills, Milwaukee also introduced new Diamond Core Bits designed for reinforced concrete. These bits feature thin kerf laser-welded golden segments for faster drilling speeds and greater durability. Available this July, they’ll come in two options: Diamond Ultra Wet and Diamond Premium Wet. These core bits are sure to elevate your concrete work.
Ego’s Exciting Partnership with John Deere
Ego has partnered with John Deere to bring their products to more customers. Starting this fall, John Deere dealerships will carry Ego’s full line of mowers, blowers, trimmers, edgers, chainsaws, and snow blowers. While you can already find Ego products at Lowe’s and Ace Hardware, this new partnership hints at even more innovation in the future.
