Tonight’s Tool Show has been nothing short of spectacular, with fresh tools announced from some of the most trusted names in the industry. We’ve got Milwaukee, DeWALT, FLEX, Makita, Bosch, KLEIN, Hilti, and more! If you’re a tool enthusiast, this is your go-to for the latest and greatest gear.
DeWALT’s New Atomic Drills and More
DeWALT kicked things off with two new drills from their Atomic Compact Series: the DCD799L1 (DW-DCD799L1) (a 20V Max brushless half-inch drill/driver) and the DCD799B (DW-DCD799B) (a 20V Max brushless half-inch hammer drill). These tools pack a punch with impressive power ratings: the 794 hits 404 UWO and can spin up to 1650 RPM, while the 799 offers 552 UWO, 1650 RPM, and a remarkable 28,000 BPM. The 794 is just 5.88 inches long, while the 799 measures at 6.49 inches, compact yet powerful.
Next up from DeWALT, we have the DCF845B (DW-DCF845B) 20V Max XR impact driver, offering 30% more torque than its predecessor. The 845 delivers 1825 inch-pounds of torque and has three speeds for ultimate control. The D25911K (DW-D25911K) and DCH966Z2K (DW-DCH966Z2K) cordless SDS Max and breaker hammers are also here, delivering 27 and 40 joules of impact energy, respectively. These tools are perfect for heavy-duty demolition and concrete work!
Bosch’s New Compact Drills and Sanders
Bosch has announced a few exciting new products, including the GSR18V-400B22, a brushless drill with a head length of just 6.3 inches, delivering up to 400 inch-pounds of torque, and the GBH18V-36CN (GBH18V-36CN), a ProFactor 18V SDS Max rotary hammer that offers the power of corded performance. Additionally, Bosch has revealed the GSS 18V-40, a compact orbital finishing sander that promises high stock removal in a small, ergonomic package.
FLEX Tools’ Latest Innovations
FLEX isn’t holding back with some incredible new releases! Their FX1671-Z (FLEX-FX1671-Z) right-angle drill delivers 2400 inch-pounds of torque with a magnesium gearbox and the FX3411-Z (FLEX-FX3411-Z) orbital sander, which boasts 13,000 OPM for heavy-duty applications.
FLEX’s popular lifetime warranty has also been extended through 2023, so if you’ve been thinking about upgrading your collection, now is the time to invest in their tools.
Milwaukee’s New Wrenches and Planer
Milwaukee’s new double-end flare nut wrenches (48-22-9470) are a game-changer. Designed for hard-to-reach line nuts, these wrenches come with ink-filled size labels for easy identification and offer a slim profile for maximum access. Plus, they come with Milwaukee’s lifetime warranty.
They also launched the M12 brushless 2-inch planer (2524-20), which is lightweight (just 3.1 pounds) and perfect for finish carpenters and remodelers who need precision in their work. Coming in March for $199, this planer is ideal for tasks like planing doors and other fine woodwork.
Makita’s 40V Max Push
Makita’s 40V Max XGT lineup is getting stronger with the introduction of new chainsaws. These brushless motor-powered chainsaws aim to replace gas-powered models, with features like quiet operation and zero emissions. The GCU04, GCU05, and GCU06 models provide efficient cutting for various applications, with run times and power comparable to 42cc gas chainsaws. They also announced the 40V AVT rotary hammer, which comes with an onboard dust extractor.
KLEIN’s New Modular System
KLEIN is offering a new bucket work center rail system that allows workers to customize their buckets with quick-release, adjustable clamps. This system supports a variety of modules like tool storage, utility bars, and more, allowing workers to organize their gear efficiently.
Hilti’s Powerful New Tools
Hilti surprised everyone last year with their Neuron line of cordless power tools, and now, they’re taking things to the next level. Their DSH 700-22 12-inch cut-off saw is designed for heavy-duty concrete, metal, and masonry cutting, and delivers 30% more cuts than gas-powered models. The Quick X anchor system is also launching, offering installation speeds up to four times faster than traditional methods.
Ryobi’s Whisper Fans and More
Ryobi had some fantastic announcements as well, especially for the summer months ahead. They revealed two new Whisper Series fans that run quietly and are perfect for cooling off during those hot days. The PCL813B hybrid air cannon fan has a 3-speed setting and can pivot 225 degrees, while the 7.5-inch bucket-top misting fan can deliver a cool mist for only $69.
