NEW Power Tools and Tech for 2025! The OPT Tool Expo!

The 2025 OPT Tool Expo, hosted by Ohio Power Tool, brought together top brands to showcase the future of construction tools and jobsite technology. Rob from the Tool Show was on-site, delivering an exclusive look at the latest innovations from industry leaders like Milwaukee Tool, DeWalt, Bosch, Flex, Skil, FallTech, Crescent, Gearwrench, and more. If you’re serious about tools and next-gen jobsite gear, this year’s event was must-see.

Game-Changing Tools from Milwaukee

Milwaukee Tool made a strong impression with two standout releases. First, the Nitrous Carbide Circular Saw Blade features the largest welded carbide teeth in its category. It cut through 94 nails embedded in a 2×6 without breaking a tooth, effortlessly and with no hesitation.

Also unveiled was the MX Fuel Backpack Blower, set to ship in June. It delivers a massive 800 CFM at 190 MPH, offering serious force for demanding jobsite cleanup.

DeWalt’s Practical Innovations

DeWalt rolled out two new tools aimed at jobsite efficiency. Their 20V Transfer Pump works with both 20V and 60V batteries and doesn’t require priming. Simply turn it on, it moves 10 gallons per minute instantly.

They also introduced the Tough Wire Cable Hanging System, ideal for overhead work like HVAC installs and lighting. It uses adjustable aircraft cable fasteners for fast, secure setup.

Bosch’s Affordable Ground Penetrating Radar

Bosch revealed a true industry disruptor: a Handheld Ground Penetrating Radar. It scans concrete, drywall, or asphalt and detects materials like rebar and pipes up to 8 inches deep. At just $1,100, it’s a bargain compared to the usual $40,000 price tag for similar tools.

Safety First: FallTech’s New Releases

FallTech continues to prioritize safety. The new FT Iron Harness improves comfort with lateral leg straps and built-in suspension trauma relief. They also introduced a field-replaceable Class 2 Leading Edge Retractable system and a swivel D-ring anchor, both designed to reduce downtime and increase worker safety.

Storage & Specialty Tools from Flex and SKIL

Flex upgraded their Stack Pack system with 28 new accessories, including a track lock system, grinder and polisher holders, and wall-mount storage options.

SKIL launched a 25ft Multivolt Drain Auger that works with both 12V and 20V batteries. It’s a smart solution for smaller drain clogs and can easily pay for itself after just one job.

Crescent & Gearwrench Deliver Portability

Crescent and Gearwrench showcased the Sight Runner, a foldable mechanics cart built for the jobsite. It boasts a 300 lb capacity and rugged casters, all for an affordable $300.
