The Bosch Power Box PB360S has been one of our favorite products for years, how many other jobsite radios you can play Corn Hole with (see our 2011 video below) while the radio is still playing. But times they are a changing and Bluetooth is the undeniable feature everyone is looking for these days. Answer the new Bosch PB360C ($199) which looks to basically be the same radio but with built in Bluetooth of course. This will be a rolling change away from the PB360S, perfect timing for the holiday season.
In addition to being a tough radio the Bluetooth app adds some interesting features to set alarms (chow time!!!) and actually use the radio as a loud speaker, talk into phone it comes out the radio. Streaming services from Spotify, Rdio, Pandora, Rhapsody, Youtube, iHeartMedia, SoundCloud. If you don’t see your streaming service of choice on that list, like our personal choice, Google Play you can also play downloaded music from the app’s Music Library and of course it’ll still work from the Play app directly.
Overall a very nice upgrade which at first we were somewhat disappointed we didn’t get a whole new more compact design but for the sake of keeping the price tag down and keeping the 4 power outlets on the side just adding Bluetooth makes this unit very relevant again. By adding features as an app is a very smart move as well, in future the app can easily be update for more functionality. Another classic Coptool video using the PB360S as benchmark vs Makita.
