The Bosch Click & Go System is becoming more popular than I could have ever anticipated. It seems a lot of tool users out there really value what they L-Boxx can bring to the table in terms of organization, portability, and projecting a professional appearance on the jobsite. Bearing in mind the level at which the L-Boxx is being embraced in the professional community, it is no surprise that Bosch is beginning to release more tools that are designed with the Click & Go system. CopTool happened to get a first look at one of these “tools” at the 2013 World of Concrete Expo. Allow me to introduce you to the Bosch 12V Compact Radio PB120.
The Bosch L-Boxx-1 is specifically designed to work with the Bosch 12V Max cordless system. This is increasingly apparent when one realizes that a lot of the current Bosch 12V cordless tools are now sold with a molded plastic insert that allows the 12V tool, battery, and charger to fit snugly in one half of an L-Boxx-1. The thought behind this feature is that it will increase organization and the accessibility of the tools while you are on the jobsite. The feature would also allow you to put more than one tool in a tool case, which could save you a trip between your truck or van and where you are working.
If you are like me, then a radio on the jobsite can be a very useful tool. There is something about having some tunes that makes a job go more quickly and smoothly. At the same time, while the Bosch Power Box is a great radio for the jobsite its size leaves a little to be desired in the portability aspect. However, the 12V compact radio can fit easily in an L-Boxx-1 with another 12V tool making it incredibly portable when used in the Click & Go system. The radio also comes with an AC adapter for corded use and has an auxiliary jack for playing music from an external source.
You can currently pre-order your Bosch 12V Compact Radio from Ohio Power Tool, although we are currently in the dark in regards to a release date. Ohio Power Tool carries the entire Click & Go system, as well as any other Bosch power tool. As always, if you have any questions do not hesitate to call a pro at (800) 242-4424.
