Metal Beveling Tools

This week Metabo held a media event to showcase their current and upcoming tools. Of course we all know Metabo Grinders and Slicer Wheels as some of the best on the market for professional fabricators and metal workers. Metabo is known far less for cordless tools but we were incredibly impressed by their battery technology, which is very likely one of the best technologies around, granted a little pricier.

Building on their success in the grinder and metal working category Metabo is extremely focused on all tools related to metal working and bringing very specialized corded and cordless tool to market in this category. These new beveling tools are a great example of this coming to life.

There are a handful of niche beveling tool lines on the market but none you’ve probably heard of if you are not in the market. With Metabo’s focus on metal working market and powerful motor bodies in the arsenal these are an obvious addition. For smaller bevel projects, R3 radius or 45 degree 5/32” there is the corded KFM9-32F ($949) or the cordless options KFM18LXT3RF ($1299, 2x LiHD). These are great options for rounding sharp edges down for prepping to paint and making them super clean and uniform.

For larger beveling needs there are 3 options: 13 Amp Switch KFM15-10F ($1599), 13 Amp Paddle KFMBP15-10F ($1649) both which can do 45 degree by 3/8” and 14 Amp KFM16-15F ($2199) which can handle up to 45 degree by 5/8”. What is very unique about the 3 machines is in their heads as they can adjust the angle of the cut by adjusting the guard you do not need to change heads. With beveling heads costing significant money this can be a big time and money savings.

One common applications for these 3 beveling tools is prepping pipe or flat metal for welding. The time savings is huge as these tools put down a perfectly weldable edge in seconds flat, significantly less than even the fastest grinder. More importantly that edge is clean and consistent for more accurate welding and less problems down the road. We were increadably impressed with how easy these tools were too use. Since they are based off the Metabo motor bodies we know already they will be able to handle the toughest environments.

We will follow up shortly with some additional info with a deeper dive into the Metabo cordless technology LiHD and the awesome new 36V 9” Cordless Grinder coming in October, it’s a beast!

In this great scheme of things you actually get an A for effort and hard work. Where you lost everybody was first in your specifics. As they say, details make or break the argument.. And it couldn’t be much more accurate here. Having said that, let me inform you precisely what did work. The text is really persuasive which is probably the reason why I am making an effort in order to comment. I do not make it a regular habit of doing that. 2nd, despite the fact that I can easily notice a leaps in reason you come up with, I am not really confident of how you appear to connect your details that help to make the actual final result. For the moment I will, no doubt yield to your issue but wish in the future you link the facts much better.
